The 3 Spheres of Relationship Momentum
There are three spheres of Relationship Momentum. You need to get these three areas aligned before engaging the formula in an initiative. In other words, they all have to point in the same direction in order for you to become efficient and effective in your endeavors. The spheres are:
The Spiritual. Whomever you call God, (I recommend finding that out as I am sure he is worthy of the recognition), and whatever moral fiber has constructed your being, is the crux of being capable of acquiring Momentum. We are inherently relational; it’s in our DNA to need communion with others. Your relationship with the Great Engineer is dire to your forward movement, as he provides a confidence and a communion that no art or science can explain.
The Personal. The Ancient Greek Philosopher Plato said, “know thyself.” William Shakespeare proclaimed, “to thine own self be true.” If you are not taking time for yourself and to develop your gifts, the rest of this material is moot. If you do not love yourself, you simply cannot love others. If you cannot love others, you cannot create Momentum in your relationships and your endeavors will most certainly suffer. The personal sphere covers the realm of your closest relationships (friends, marriage, partners, with yourself, etc.) and is pivotal to building Momentum for your career and endeavors. This very important sphere has a large effect on your relational capacity and cerebral well being.
The Vocational. Vocational awareness is knowing yourself in terms of what you are uniquely gifted to do, and then being able to utilize those talents. It is essential to embrace our personal gifts in order to achieve actualization.Introverts often try to be extraverts, artists try to become engineers, and lawyers want to be novelists. You will never find that sense of self-actualization or highest level of personal success and fulfillment as long as you are trying to be someone you are not.
Does your picture of success in life sync with your fundamental priorities — the three spheres (Spiritual, Personal, and Vocational)? We cannot underestimate the interconnectivity of the three Spheres. Balance all three, and it can create a lot of positive Momentum in your life. Allow them to go off-kilter, and everything can come crashing down around you.
